Research & Development Engineering Internship
This internship will be hosted for the Summer 2024 semester.

Role Summary
This position provides prototype, development, lab testing, part sourcing, documentation, and drafting support to the Research & Development team.
Description of Roles and Responsibilities
- Set up and conduct lab tests as specified by senior engineers
- Interpret and apply test methods from test plans, qualification specifications, and compliance standards
- Compile and analyze data generated from experiments and provide detailed reports related to results of experiments.
- Fabricate concept prototypes and working prototypes with the use of internal and outside resources
- Maintain the engineering labs including parts inventory, data acquisition equipment, and various lab grade instruments and their calibration
- Provide general drafting and design services to the Engineering team using Solidworks
Eligibility Requirements
- Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science or Chemical Engineering
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
- Experience with SOLIDWORKS, LabVIEW, MATLAB, and statistics a plus
- Excellent internet skills for searching, reviewing, identifying and sourcing state of the art technologies, components and solutions
- Strong writing and documentation skills
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
