Landscape Architect Intern

Overview

We are seeking a highly-motivated intern to join our Civil/Site Discipline in our San Antonio, TX office during Summer 2024, providing support on projects by performing a variety of landscape architecture related tasks and assignments including preparing concepts; developing plans and specifications; graphics and renderings, construction observation; and attending meetings. We are looking for enthusiastic candidates ready to engage in all aspects of project development.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in all aspects of the design process for landscape and site development
  • Participate in initial set up, progress and detailing of landscape plans working with AutoCAD
  • Collect project data and requirements
  • Perform plant material counts. Identifications and inventories
  • Prepare graphic presentation exhibits
  • Perform landscape construction installation observation when required
  • Prepare landscape cost estimates as required

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, or a related program
  • Advanced knowledge of landscape architecture, AutoCAD and plant material for design and vegetation inventories
  • Skilled in graphic presentations
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office
  • Sketch Up, Photoshop/Illustrator/Visual, Lumion, GIS, Hand graphic capability a plus
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
