2024 Mechanical Engineering MDP

Program Overview:

This position is a part of the Mueller Development Program (MDP). This two-year program will provide a broad range of experiences to improve leadership skills, enhance technical knowledge, and build confidence. The program offers professional development opportunities, mentorship, and organized events for all MDPs. Upon completion of the program, the Mechanical Engineering MDP will receive a full-time placement in Mueller! Rotation location will be assigned based on business needs and career aspirations.

This opportunity will provide you with challenging work and accelerated growth while supporting senior management in their decision making to directly impact the business. This includes customer focused and data driven strategy implementation, goal formation, and product development to support company growth.

Mechanical Engineering Track Overview:

Our Mechanical Engineering Development Program offers experience in product design, manufacturing, application of additive manufacturing, continuous improvement, validation/testing, project management and sales support. Assigned projects and daily work will not be in the form of proof-of-concept work, but projects that deliver value to the business, where you are a part of the organization from day one!

• Flexibility to relocate for 6–12-month rotations through at least 3 different plants (Albertville, AL, Chattanooga, TN, Decatur, IL, Cleveland, NC, or Brownsville, TX)

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 0-2 years of relevant work experience
• Working knowledge of mechanical design and material science
• Knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes
