Position

Parametric Solutions has opportunities for Fall 2024 Engineering Intern in their Senior or Junior year to join our team in our Jupiter, FL office.  

  • Time Commitment: 20-40 hours per week
  • Internship Duration: Fall (September - December)
  • 100% On-site position - Jupiter, FL area

 

Summary

To assist in research, develop, design, and test a wide range of products according to requirements of individual customers. 

 

Essential Functions

  • Prepares design sketches, layouts, schematics, 3D models and drawings as part of a design team.
  • Selects raw materials and components; develops or identifies specifications for product.
  • Determines input boundary conditions (loads, temperatures, fixities, pressures, etc.)
  • Develops hand calculations and or finite element models to determine temperatures, stresses, and deflections, etc.
  • Post-processes finite element model results and performs iterative design changes.
  • Attends meetings to determine customer and team objectives.
  • Reports results through written and verbal communication.

 

Education/Requirements

  • Applicants should be Engineering Majors in Mechanical Engineering and/or Aerospace Engineering
  • Possess strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • U.S. citizenship required.

 

Desired Coursework

  • Finite element analysis – ANSYS, NASTRAN, Fluent, CFX, etc.
  • CAD Modeling – ProE, Unigraphics, AutoCAD, Catia, etc.
  • Microsoft Office Products – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
