2024 Summer Undergraduate FP Packaging Design Intern

The Opportunity:  

 Mattel is currently seeking Package Design Undergraduate Interns in East Aurora, NY. Our internship program is driven by a single focus: to find our future leaders. We encourage interns to push boundaries because we want to see how far you might take us some day. We give you phenomenal managers, mentors and buddies to help you accomplish more than you would have thought possible. And we team you up with other interns because every great thing that comes out of Mattel is done as a team. Our Undergraduate Internship Program runs 10-12 weeks from June-August in East Aurora, NY. 

  

What Your Impact Will Be:   

  

•         Work beside experienced packaging designers, packaging engineers and copywriters to learn and understand the process of designing toy packaging. 

•         Know how to conceptualize ideas both verbally and through rough sketches. 

•         Dive into competitive analysis, create mood boards, sketch logos and lay out graphics. 

•         Be able to both collaborate and develop ideas independently. 

 

What We’re Looking For:  

•         Rising senior, graduating in 2025, majoring in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Communication Design or related 

•         Strong creative thinking skills 

•         Good communication and interpersonal skills 

•         Proactive attitude, good work ethic with an interest in toy packaging 

•         Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office 

 

**Hourly pay will be $20.00/hour

·         Highlight your strengths and what comes natural to you 

·          Sketches and finished renderings 

·         Idea development process a plus 

·         Animation, visual development, and/or character design  a  plus
