Alfred Fleishman Diversity Fellow - Design, Sacramento


FleishmanHillard Sacramento is looking for a passionate, innovative, junior designer to join our Alfred Fleishman Diversity Fellowship program. Fellows contribute to client projects and gain practical experience in the field of design from some of the industry’s best counselors and creatives. This fellow will assist our amazing healthcare and technology clients with graphic design and creative deliverables, as well as contribute to agency diversity and inclusion initiatives. Our ideal candidate will join us full-time 40 hours per week. This is a hybrid role based in our Sacramento office.

The Alfred Fleishman Diversity Fellowship is an industry-leading program that offers the opportunity for individuals to combine their communication talents with their passion for diversity and inclusion. The paid fellowships are 6 to 12 months in length and offer benefits, professional development opportunities and a mentor program.

  • Available to work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, and for a minimum of six months.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design, mass media, digital media, or a related field.
  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel) is required
  • Knowledge about design fundamentals and principles.
  • Is a creative thinker, problem solver, motivated, and passionate about content creation.
  • Pays attention to detail and has great time management and project prioritization skills.
  • Can work well independently and with a team.
  • Has experience in designing social post graphics and power point presentations

Other Qualities that are preferred, but not required:

  • Experience with photo/video editing
  • Has print production experience

The anticipated salary range for this position is $41,600 to $45,760.

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications and geography. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off and/or other benefits also are available.
