Your New Role
We have multiple Social Media internship opportunities available. By applying to this posting, you will be considered for all internship opportunities within this area. These internships will be located in the New York City area. The selected interns will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern managers in office schedule.
This could include, but is not limited to:

• TLC TRVL Digital & Social Media Intern: NY - Spring 2024
Your Role Accountabilities
Duties could include:
- Schedule and publish a content calendar across multiple accounts for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Community manage all posts and keep up-to-date with trending topics for engagement opportunities.
- Upload and optimize YouTube content.
- Conceptualize and compose copy around Gen-Z focused social platforms.
- Support and execute always-on editorial campaigns across existing and new platforms.
- Write high-engagement and error-free copy that reflects the HBO/HBO Max brand voice.
- Serve as a liaison between the social team, agencies, as well as internal and external stakeholders to ensure cohesive strategies and integrated campaigns.
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short and competing deadlines.
- Assist with obtaining legal and internal stakeholder approval on social assets before publishing.
- QC all social posts to ensure correct specs, sizes, closed captions, tagged accounts and accessibility checks are met.
Qualifications & Experience
- 1-2 years experience working on social and/or editorial marketing for a media or entertainment brand.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong interest in how social and digital platforms can increase brand awareness.
- Impeccable grasp of grammar and copywriting for social media platforms.
- Experience and/or knowledge working on video campaigns and creative.
- Knowledge of social media best practices, trends, SEO, and analytics tools.
- Experience using social media publishing and reporting tools such as Khoros, Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Sprout, ListenFirst, CrowdTangle, Meta Business Manager, etc.
- Ability to thrive in an ever-changing digital environment and flexibility to adapt quickly.
- Advanced knowledge of social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
Understanding of TLC & TRVL brands and programming
Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Adobe Photoshop, or similar programs
Must be actively enrolled in a U.S. accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
Must be a rising Junior, Senior or Graduate Student (18 years or older)
Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA)
Must have the legal right to work in the United States. U.S.
The Nice To Haves
- Interest in, and knowledge of, HBO and HBO Max programming is vital to the role.
- Experience with video production and editing is a plus.

The duration of the program is 11 weeks
Program dates:
Start Date: January 29th
End Date: April 19th
Interns will be expected to work 16-24 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.
Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
Interviewing will take place from October through mid-December. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.
In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Rate: $19 per hour USD for undergrad interns, $25 per hour USD for graduate level interns.
