Corporate Events Media Intern: NY- Spring 2024: NYC - Spring 2024

Your New Role
Do you like staying up on what's going on in the media and tech world? Are you tech savvy and have an interest in event AV? Do you possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and are able to thrive in a fast-paced environment? If you answered yes to the above, a Corporate Events internship at Warner Bros. Discovery is for you!
We're looking for outgoing, motivated, and detail-oriented interns who can multi-task and navigate the corporate event world. This role will support corporate events both in person, virtually and hybrid from pre-production to post. From invitation coding to wiring diagrams creation, organizing event media and ultimately pressing play to get the event started this team is involved in key events that deliver on the larger goals of WBD.
Your Role Accountabilities
- Corporate Events Media Management (Create Media Lists, QC and Transcode Media Content)
- Corporate Events Inventory Support (QC Current Gear, Pull gear needed for specific events, create shipping manifests)
- Corporate Events Event Activation (Be a part of the event activation. Click thru graphics or videos)
- Corporate Events Post Production (Create Post Event Recap Decks, Edit Show Records, Closed Caption Creation)
- Corporate Events Research (Find the newest software, hardware, script or shortcut that streamlines our workflow & test equipment to find new ways to do things)
Qualifications & Experience
Strong communication skills
Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task
Attention to detail
Knowledge of entertainment industry
Proficient at Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PPT
Technologically savvy and quick to learn new programs
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Experience
Knowledge of Mac OS Knowledge
Knowledge of Video Aspect Ratios / Codecs
Must be actively enrolled in a U.S. accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
Must be a rising Junior, Senior or Graduate Student (18 years or older)
Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA)

The duration of the program is 11 weeks
Program dates:
Start Date: January 29th
End Date: April 19th
Interns will be expected to work 16-24 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.
Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
Interviewing will take place from October through mid-December. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.
In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Rate: $19 per hour USD for undergrad interns, $25 per hour USD for graduate level interns.
