Capital Projects Intern (Engineering/Architecture) - Year-Round

The Engineering Intern would assist staff within the Long Island Engineering/Capital Projects Department with the following duties:

• Participating in design of new and rehabilitation projects of various systems for bathhouses, maintenance and concession buildings, playgrounds, athletic fields, trails and coastal and green infrastructure.
• Attending field inspections and learn to survey existing facilities.
• Assisting current construction projects by visiting construction sites and attending meetings.
• Drafting NYS Parks standard details and writing technical specifications to assist with the preparation of projects going out to bid.
• Preparing presentations and assisting with project organization and documentation.

Schedule: 8:00am-4:15pm (preferred schedule) - 30+ hours/week
