Our founders, one of whom graduated from Harvard University and the other from Columbia University, are both first generation female college professionals. They identified a gap in the market for helping first-gen college graduates transition to and thrive in the workplace. They envision a future where every first and second generation female professional is empowered with the support and opportunities they need to excel in their chosen career paths.

About the Internship Program:
Executive Insider (EI) is looking for undergrad and grad students who are interested in a women-driven, social impact internship. You’ll work directly with the two Founders to deliver on timely objectives.

This internship is designed to allow you to see a variety of aspects of the roles PR and blog writing play in EI's day-to-day activities. We use AI strategically to develop our content and voice, and you'll use artificial intelligence as part of your assignments. You'll also gain an appreciation for the overall impact media relations has on our reputation and outreach.

In particular, you'll learn how to or assist with the following:

  • Write blog posts on Amish culture and issues published under your name or anonymously
  • Convert blog posts to audio and video for YouTube
  • Transcribe blog posts
  • Leverage the capabilities of artificial intelligence (AI) to ensure that the content you create aligns with our organization's brand, voice, and values
  • Pitch stories about our work (e.g., educational and social initiatives) to outlets
  • Learn SEO fundamentals
  • Master crafting headlines that Google likes for more traffic/better ranking
  • Conduct research that speaks to our target market
  • Identify what a corporate reputation is and why it's important
  • Explain what participatory culture is and why it's important

We hope that your time with us will turn out to be one of your favorite memories — perhaps even a major turning point — when you look back on your life years from now. You’ll be considered a vital part of our team and your ideas will be welcomed. You’ll also receive a complimentary membership to our services and personal mentoring throughout the program to help you achieve your career goals.

Even though EI is a nonprofit, we operate more as an entrepreneurial startup, with social impact and sustainable earned income among our metrics for success. At the end of your time with us, you’ll have acquired marketable and lucrative transferable skills that you can use in your personal, professional, or academic journey.
