Summer 2024 Recruitment Timeline:

Job Description
Summer 2024 Internship Program:

- Program Dates: June 3 – August 9, 2024
- Time Commitment: 40 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need.
- Format: Opportunities listed will require an intern to work from Universal City, CA 3-5 days per week.

Advertising Sales has been united as one seamless portfolio with a powerful ability to amplify an advertiser’s message and reach the right consumer in precise, targeted ways. With two broadcast networks (English and Spanish language), 15 cable properties and more than 50 digital properties, advertisers can build ideas around their brands that leverage our unparalleled range and diversity of networks, channels and digital platforms.
Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to:

Sales: This division consists of our client facing teams. The sellers are responsible for filling all ad space across the entire NBCU portfolio. Within our sales division we also have subject matter experts and research teams that help inform our salespeople.
- Client Partnerships: This intern will work closely with CP’s managers & coordinators across the entire team, and across various categories, to assist in the day-to-day management of accounts. Our intern will help in the development of meeting materials, client research and will help in client contact mapping and managing spend. Our intern will also dive into the different marketplace categories and share new developments and updates with the entire CP org.
- National Office Sales: This team supports Fandango and works with all major movie studios and the intern will have first hand exposure to the movie life cycle and the studio business. Since we are the largest movie ticketing site, the intern would get to see the differences between how a ticketing site partners with a movie studio vs. a traditional media site.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program.
- Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.
- Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA and/or Playa Vista, CA.
Desired Characteristics:
- Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Strong interest in the media industry.
- Commitment to building an inclusive work environment.
- Ability to multitask and highly organized.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Previous internship experience and on-campus involvement.
- A background in any of the following areas: Business, Communications, Psychology, Marketing, Advertising, Research and/or Strategy, with a desire to learn about different areas of the Advertising field.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is strongly recommended.
The hourly rate for student interns is $17.00
