Our Co-op program will give you a chance to get real world business experience and build your network before graduation. You’ll be able to collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, process, sourcing, quality engineers, project and operation leaders to design cost reduced parts and assemblies for medical instrumentation used in life science, medical device, laboratory, diagnostic and consumer product markets. This is a great opportunity to work with a Co-op mentor in a R&D environment allowing you to solidify knowledge of the fundamental concepts of ME, learn about the many different aspects of design and manufacturing working with subject matter experts in other fields. How You’ll Make a Difference: • Performing cost studies on new and existing products • Redesign parts and assemblies • Test and qualify new designs • Participate in Continuous Improvement projects (Kaizens) Minimum Requirements: Education • Current member of the MECOP program as either a Junior or Senior in Mechanical Engineering. Required GPA 3.0 or above.
