About this role 

Our Sustainability Engineering team is accelerating Carrier's sustainability initiatives to reach Net Zero through investments in advanced research, technologies, and design for sustainability methods that will shape the future of our products and services. As a Co-op, you will help drive the design for the sustainability team to identify the carbon footprint of our products and develop technology roadmaps to reduce our product emissions and help achieve Carrier's climate goals. This Co-Op will run January 2024-August 2024.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with business unit product engineering, management, and supply chain teams to identify data sources for full Life Cycle Assessment.
  • Analyze the energy and carbon footprint of Carrier's HVAC&R systems.
  • Data visualizations and written reports to communicate analyses to various stakeholders.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
  • 3.0 or higher GPA  
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant internships or co-op experiences
  • Knowledge of HVAC/refrigeration products
  • Sustainability Mindset
  • Ability to solve challenging and complex problems
  • Knowledgeable in LCA/environmental audit tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be geographically mobile
