**Responsibilities:**

 

As a Student Mechanical Engineer Intern, you will:

 

- Collaborate with our engineering team to troubleshoot and solve complex mechanical and ocean engineering challenges.

- Participate in the fabrication, design, analysis, and testing of underwater systems and structures.

- Contribute to data collection, analysis, and reporting, supporting naval research efforts.

- Work closely with engineering mentors to develop solutions that meet US Navy requirements and industry standards.

- Engage in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and technical discussions to contribute a fresh perspectives.

 

**Requirements:**

 

- Currently enrolled in a relevant engineering or related program at an accredited university.

- Strong self-motivation and the ability to independently tackle problems and find innovative solutions.

- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Basic understanding of fabrication, mechanical, and ocean engineering principles, with a desire to expand your hands-on experience and knowledge in the field.

- Must be authorized to work in the United States.

- Clearance – you will need a secret clearance for certain aspects of this internship

- Veterans – Military and Coast Guard (USCG) veterans are highly encourage to apply for this position
