POSITION DETAILS
ELM is seeking an Architect Intern to join our Jacksonville, Florida-based design team for the summer of 2024. This is a full-time paid internship from May/June to August/September 2024. ELM is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. This role provides an opportunity for hands-on experience in architectural design, 3D modeling and project development.
INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work under the guidance of the Project Manager to assist in various stages of project development including programming/analysis, conceptual planning, schematic design, and construction document detailing
- Collaborate with the production team to provide development and documentation tasks
- Attend project meetings
INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Architecture
- Demonstrated skills in BIM/Revit Modeling, 3D Rendering/Animation and technical documentation
- Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, Photoshop and other technical software
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Active participation in student organizations or societies is a plus
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
- Experience with Sketchup and Enscape Design and Rendering software is desirable.
- The ability to produce high quality hand renderings and digital graphics is a plus.
