Daily Operations
- Report to the Manager of Chautauqua Opera Company for all scheduled activities; some tasks may be delegated from the Company Manager as well.
- Work closely with the Artistic and General Director, Marketing Specialist, and Company Manager to complete assigned tasks.
- Provide administrative assistance and serve as an administrative liaison to interworking departments, such as Production, Costumes, Wigs & Makeup, Music, and Administration. Act as a resource for all company members on departmental as well as organization policies/procedures.
- Use professional communication skills to answer a high volume of phone calls, answer widely variable questions, respond in a timely manner to all inquiries and relay complete messages/information as required. Answer any questions company members might have about the company.
- Maintain company records and filing systems. Author routine email correspondence and complete daily mail distribution.
- Maintain Opera Center Office and Green Room cleanliness and supplies.
- Responsible for communicating all issues to the Manager and Company Manager and responding to company issues in a timely manner.
- Provide event support for all events; mainstage and ancillary (i.e., opera invasions, song recitals, guild events, staff parties, etc.).
Other Operations
- Assist Marketing Specialist with production ticketing, digital and paper program creation, and other marketing tasks as assigned.
- Assist marketing team with opera center comp distribution.
