Internship, Universal Creative – Interactive Media Design*
JOB SUMMARY: Intern will work in collaboration with the Interactive Design Team and Show Producer to successfully support the desired guest experiences within the Universal Creative project team. Intern will use skills in Digital Media and Game Development, contributing to the production of fun and innovative technology driven media experiences. Intern will learn and experience new creative technology, media design technics, show and scenic design, and ride engineering principles while participating in a large multi-discipline project team.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works with Producers to organize and maintain vendor deliverables including, documents, graphics, 3D models, digital media, animation, and audio.
- Assists Interactive Designers and Producers with game testing, creative mock-up efforts, and vendor demonstrations.
- Partners with park technology and interactive design team to create immersive guest experiences and engaging game mechanics.
- Operates in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while meeting high-quality standards.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

- Proficiency in industry standard 3D software packages Maya or 3DS Max, Zbrush, and 2D software including Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, or After Effects required.
- Background in technical artistry or design with modeling preferred.
- Interest in themed entertainment and experiential design preferred.

Internship, Universal Creative - Media, Production Assistant
JOB SUMMARY: The role of this intern is to assist the Producers and Coordinator in maintaining the flow of documents, media files, drawings, etc. to the vendors and other Team Members. The intern will learn about how communications in a large project requires constant documentation updates, and how those updates affect the design of attractions. Duties include filing, note-taking, participating in physical production, and other production-related matters as required.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilizes document control systems.
- Communicates effectively with other Team Members and constantly updates shared information.
- Assists with physical production in ongoing programs, behind the scenes shooting and editing, Newsletters, and mockups.

Internship – Theme Paint
JOB SUMMARY: Intern will learn how to prepare and complete final paint documentation for theme painted elements on site and in vendor shops, how to scenically and digitally paint, how to create and collect final finish documentation on various theme park elements and in turn will learn the overall production process for themed finishes within our industry from conception to turn over.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists Paint team in completion of thematic elements and finishes.
- Works on-site at project to complete a themed land.

Internship, Universal Creative – Concept Design Illustrator*
JOB SUMMARY: Intern will assist the Art Direction team in creating 2d sketches, storyboards, POV color illustrations; and if able, key art, birds eyes, and marketing art to support the Creative Studio project design needs under the mentorship of Art Director and/or Senior level Concept Designer. Intern will create 3d models to be used as a basis for drawing over to expedite the illustration process. Intern will utilize software like Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop and Illustrator) and a 3d modeling software, like SketchUp, Revit, 3DSMax, Rhino or Maya.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Independently sketches and illustrates work on a Cintiq at their desk.
- Creates assets to support several projects as well as the overall concept design team.
- Attends regular project-related meetings to understand the larger project parameters.
- Attends departmental meetings to gain an understanding of the concept design team overall.

Internship – Digital & Physical Sculpting
JOB SUMMARY: Intern will learn to bring the creative director’s vision to life through scale models, digital models, macquette and artwork depicting the creative intent of sculptural elements. By utilizing various digital modeling, physical modeling and drawing tools (e.g. ZBrush, Maya, Rhino, Photoshop, 3DsMAX, Revit), Intern will model, draw and create dimensional scale models and assets of various show elements.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists the creation, development, and execution of Digital and Physical sculptural elements.
- Collaborates with project creative leadership to help direct creative design intent to meet project creative, business, technical, and operational objectives.

Internship, Universal Creative – Show Writing
JOB SUMMARY: Intern will work closely with the Studio Show Writing and Creative teams and obtain first-hand knowledge and understanding of how Theme Parks are developed and designed through exposure and interaction with a variety of efforts across portfolios and differing guest demographics. Intern will be guided by the Show Writing team members while contributing to ideation, concept development and ongoing project needs. Intern will learn the essentials of listening to partner needs, communicating effectively and providing thoughtful options to achieve a successful guest experience that is balanced with our business needs. Helping to champion story, quality guest experience, and maintaining the creative vision for the project at all times will be values the internship seeks to implement.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participates in brainstorm, charettes and ideation sessions.
- Drafts written story treatments, scripts, and nomenclature lists.
- Interacts with other creative disciplines representing story and guest experience.

JOB SUMMARY: The Intern will provide assistance to the media team across all projects. The purpose of the internship is to provide a hands-on learning experience in all disciplines of working on an animatic or a VR experience using the Unreal game engine, Autodesk Maya, Substance Painter and/or Photoshop.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
