Summer Intern Opportunity
Legacy cabinets is searching for two Engineer Interns. The internship is located at our facility in Eastaboga, AL. The primary responsibility will center on the creation of Auto CAD drawings from actual cabinet parts to support quality initiatives and improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct/coordinate process and product evaluations and assessments.
- Conduct root cause and corrective action investigations.
- Design and develop appropriate gauges, forms, and fixtures for the accurate assessment of parts.
- Perform assigned projects to address quality issues within the plant.
- Create drawings of component parts and cabinets using Auto CAD or similar software.
- Ability to take on other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s or master's in engineering/applied engineering.
- Excellent communication skills - oral and written - required.
- Must be able to create drawings in AutoCAD by measuring physical parts.
- Must be proficient with MS Office including excel/word/PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational skills with diligence.
- Excellent attention-to- detail.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in an office environment and use a computer.
- At least 50% of the time will be spent on the manufacturing floor.
