We are looking for a student intern to support the Design group in design, plan production, graphics presentation, construction documentation, and construction administration. Main Responsibilities: 

  • Work as part of the overall design team on projects that range in scale and complexity
  • Assist in the development of plans, details, technical specifications, studies, reports, and graphics 
  • Assist with field work including site visits, construction inspections, and client meetings
  • Managing assigned project tasks to ensure expectations and project goals are met
  • Design collaboration with project teams 

 

Education, experience, licensure, and skills:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master of Landscape Architecture accredited degree program 
  • Strong computer and hand graphic skills as well as proficiency in software programs relevant to the industry including AutoCAD, Land-FX, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D Modeling software like Sketch Up and Lumion, and Bluebeam
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Prioritization and time management skills
  • Enthusiasm for the profession and a willingness to learn on a variety of projects 
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Interview Process

CHW offers a standardized fully transparent interview process. Additionally, we recognize the time and effort expended by you, the applicant, and have provided a timeline of our interviewing procedure:

 

  • Application review- Applications for the Landscape Architecture Student Internship role will be completed on a rolling basis until March 28, 2024 or until the position is filled. CHW will follow up with all applicants within five business days of receiving a completed application.
  • Phone Screening- Applicants selected for a phone screening will have a 15-20 minute chat with the Director of Landscape Architecture and/or a member of the Design team and the Talent Recruitment Manager.
  • Interview- Following a successful phone screening, applicants that move forward to the interview portion of the applicant process will meet with members of the Landscape Architecture, Planning, and Design teams to discuss their experience and learn more about CHW and CHW ‘s internship program.
  • Offer- An offer will be extended by CHW’s Director of Human Resources + Administration. The candidate will have an opportunity to review the offer and follow up with CHW as appropriate. Once the details of the offer are formalized and accepted, the candidate will sign and return the offer to CHW.
