Engineering Co-op Student

An exciting co-op opportunity awaits a motivated student at our Loveland, CO site beginning May 2024 for an approximate 8-month term. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position that is open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Assist technical specialists in gathering, correlating, and analyzing information from engineering documents associated with industrial equipment.
  • Populate an in-house equipment database for the information extracted from the available engineering documents.
  • Assist technical specialists in understanding the relationships between equipment (Compressors, Fans, Heat Exchangers, Pumps, Turbines, Valves, Vessels).
  • Assist in detailed technical evaluations such as catalyst, heat exchanger, and compressor performance.
  • Complete level-appropriate engineering studies, calculations, and simulations.

 

What you will bring:

 

  • Engineering co-op student pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering - completion of 5 to 7 academic terms is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the thermodynamics of compression and expansion cycles in industrial equipment and processes.
  • Experience with data analysis and computer programming is an asset.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
  • Previous work experience is preferred.
