Engineer Intern
SpectrumHaven is looking for an Engineer Intern with a focus in Electrical, Civil and/or Computer (Telecommunications) Engineering to assist in the production of engineering design documents for technology systems (i.e., Telecommunications Networks, Electronic Security Technology System, etc.) and other engineering-related tasks on assigned projects under the supervision of a licensed professional engineer. This position will involve site visits, construction plans development, emerging technology market research as well as other engineering related tasks.
Responsibilities
- Autodesk Revit (BIM Software)
- AutoCAD 2D Design Document drafting.
- Review of relevant codes and standards to ensure designs meet all applicable codes and safety standards.
- Inside Plant (ISP)/Outside Plant (OSP) telecommunication design: fiber optic/ wireless network architecture development and design.
- Assist in existing technology systems evaluation, system design calculations, equipment layouts for telecommunications solutions.
- Conduct site surveys to determine and document existing conditions to be utilized in system design.
- Assist in the development of cost estimates for use in determining overall project budget.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
