Engineering Intern - 2024 Summer Internship

A career in Engineering where none of us stand still.

The Engineering Department within Haleon TUMS division is responsible for implementing projects and maintaining the facility while being compliant with all Environmental Health & Safety Department and Quality compliance requirements.  This position will be working at the GSK manufacturing site in the ENG department located in the downtown St. Louis, MO.

Job role will include a rotation in project management, project engineering, automation and process engineering. There may also be an opportunity to assist in cleaning validation.

 

What will your individual contribution at Haleon be?

Assist in Capital and Compliance team in creating and implementing projects

Ensure quality and timeliness of project result

Efficiently interacts with peers and next level of management

Resolves escalated issues and refers problems to the next level

Prepares standard and ad hoc management reports and presentations for assigned projects.

Assist Process Safety and Machinery Safety Engineer to mitigate process and machine safety risks

Assist on assessments of equipment and spaces to ensure compliance gaps have been mitigated

Assist Senior Automation Engineer in problem solving, writing and implementing software programming

Assist in engineering concept approach to mitigate exposure to dust and chemicals

Complete audit of hazardous areas to ensure alignment with engineering standards

Assist in facility risk assessments FMEAs

To enable you to perform in this future talent opportunity:

Requirements:

College student pursuing a B.S. degree or graduate school level studying Engineering at an accredited university. Candidate should have a minimum of 1 years of education post high school.

3.0 or greater cumulative GPA;

Track record of achievement and leadership in work and or extracurricular activities;

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written;

Evidence of leadership and teamwork skills;

Good Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

Above average “attention-to-detail” skills

 

Preferred requirements:

Preferred 3 years minimum level in Bachelor of Science in Engineering

Work experience in Engineering preferred.

Candidate with previous manufacturing experience

 

Other requirements:

Ability to work on site in St Louis, Missouri.

Candidate must be available to work full-time throughout the 12-week internship (Approximately 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday)

Must be eligible to work in the US at the time of, and for the duration of employment. Employees will be required to furnish evidence of US work authorization.  Applicant must not require future sponsorship for an employment visa status .
