Structural Engineering Intern

BASE Consultants is a highly-qualified structural engineering firm with the experience of a large corporation and the accessibility and responsiveness of a smaller firm. We are seeking talented Structural Engineering interns, both for summer and year round

Responsibilities

As an engineering intern you will participate on project teams for structural projects of all types. 

Perform construction administrative tasks, including site visits, RFI’s, and shop drawing review.

Prepare technical studies and reports.

Prepare plans and structural analysis models 

Coordinate and participate in structural inspections and evaluations.

Analysis and Design of simple structures

Qualifications

• BS - Civil Engineering or completion of a minimum of 2 year of engineering coursework towards BS in Civil Engineering with some structural course work
• MS - Accepted in or plans to apply for graduate program in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis
• FE preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skill required
• Flexible scheduling but should be consistently available a minimum of 20 hours per week
