Overview:

Florida Engineering is currently seeking an Entry-Level Drafter to join our growing team and be a part of our structural and outdoors division. This candidate would work very closely with our drafting and engineering team where you will learn the ins and outs of our aluminum engineering services, we provide to customers. As you continue to grow with our firm you will be relied on to ensure plans and drawings have no mistakes and are accurate before providing them to customers. The ideal candidate for this position MUST be hungry and willing to learn. We want this individual to always be curious and seeking opportunities to grow both professionally and personally. In this role you will be exposed to and learn how to draft and design various structures including but not limited to: (Pool enclosures/cages, patio covers, pergolas, woodsheds, decks, etc.). This is one of our largest divisions and we complete hundreds of projects weekly. 

Key Qualifications:

  • 0-2+ years of professional experience related to Construction or Project Management 
  • Ability to read and understand Engineering plans and drawings
    • Validate and/or identify mistakes while understanding what needs to be corrected
  • Experience or training in drafting software, AutoCAD is a plus
  • Technical School Degree or associate’s degree in Construction Management, Drafting, Architecture or Engineering 
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills with the ability to speak directly with customers and clients 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
